Assessment
This stage typically involves a face-to-face meeting with AWM in order to gather all relevant information and begin to understand financial motivations. We will analyse the performance and relevance of existing provisions and begin to create a sense of the advice that is required.
Recommendation
Following the initial meeting we will put together a series of recommendations to satisfy the requirements that were agreed in the initial assessment. This process will vary depending on the complexity of the client and the level at which our strategic partners need to be involved. We will look at the whole of the market and consider solutions that fit with our clients’ objectives, attitudes to risk and capital preservation.
Implementation
Once the solutions have been researched and evaluated they will be presented to the client. At this stage it is critical that the client is totally comfortable with the advice process and the solutions in terms of access, charges and risks. This stage may require a number of meetings to discuss various options depending on the complexity of the client’s circumstances. At this point clients may be introduced to a number of our strategic partners.
Ongoing Review
Once the solutions have been agreed and the client has committed to working towards their objectives, t the ongoing review process begins. At AWM every client will be sent a monthly statement of all of their investments and holdings and will normally meet with their adviser on a quarterly basis. Meetings may often be more frequent depending on individual client’s needs. It is essential that all clients take the time to regularly review their portfolios with their AWM adviser, and ensure that they are on track towards their financial objectives.
